Apple Pudding with Cranberries

Ingredients

4 cups bread crumbs, toasted
3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and slice thin
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons butter
2 cups cranberries

Directions

  1. Place half of the apples in greased baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the sugar and nutmeg. Dot with half the butter and cover with half the bread crumbs and all the cranberries.
  2. Add a second layer of apples, sugar, nutmeg and breadcrumbs. Dot with remaining butter.
  3. Bake in preheated over at 350 degrees (F) for 1 hour.
