Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar (use colored if you can)
1/2 cups almonds, ground
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour and almonds and mix well.
- Divide dough into four sections. Form each section into a roll 1 inch in diameter. Roll each in colored sugar (on wax paper), then refrigerate until firm.
- Cut each rolled section into 1/2-inch slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10 minutes at 350 degrees (F).
- Cool on a wire rack.
