Ingredients

1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups non-dairy creamer (make sure there is no "D" next to the kosher symbol -- many "non-dairy" creamers are really dairy!)
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Combine corn meal, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add egg, non-dairy creamer, oil and mix thoroughly
  3. Place into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish and bake at 425 degrees (F) for 20 minutes

I'm really intrigued by that Dreamdark book. Sounds ingniguirt. As for the book I'm looking forward to: Enchanters by David Bryan Russell (an older book, but so be it).I'll have secondary entries in a moment. Thanks for the cool giveaway!
