Ingredients

3 cups sifted cake flour
2 cups sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoons salt
1 cup Water
1 cup shortening (pareve)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cream shortening until smooth.
  3. Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with water.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Bake in cake pan for 25 minutes in a medium oven.
