Great holiday recipe to make with children! Prep time does not include refrigeration time for dough.

Ingredients

1 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
2 2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
Cinnamon and sugar mixture

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and margarine, then mix with egg and vanilla.
  2. Add baking soda, flour and salt -- adjust flour as needed. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Roll dough out thinly (less than 1/4 inch thick).
  4. Cut into shapes with holiday cutters.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake at 375 degrees (F) for 10 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
