THIS DELICIOUS DINNER WAS EATEN ALL THE TIME,NOT JUST ON HOLIDAYS,BUT I THINK YOU'LL FIND IT A VERY DEEEELISH DISH.!
|
Ingredients
1- 4 TO 8 LB BRISKET
1 LARGE BAG OF BABY CARROTS(CAN SUBSTITUTE REGULAR CARROTS CLEANED AND CUT ON DIAGONAL)
1 LARGE ONION (SLICED)
CELERY (2 TO 5 STALKS FROM CENTER)
POTATOS (I ADD AS MANY AS I CAN FIT ON TOP OF MEAT IN A DUTCH OVEN)
CHICKEN BROTH[AS MANY CANS AS NEEDED TO COVER MEAT]
LAWRYS SEASON SALT
GARLIC POWDER
PARSLEY
Directions
- PUT DUTCH OVEN ON TOP OF STOVE ON HIGH.
- GENEROUSLY SHAKE LAWRYS,GARLIC POWDER,AND PARSLEY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POT.
- PLACE MEAT IN ,FAT SIDE DOWN ,TO SEAR IT. ABOUT 4 MINS.
- WHILE THE MEAT IS SEARING ON FAT SIDE,PLACE THE SAME MIXTURE ON TOP OF THE SIDE FACING YOU.
- TURN MEAT OVER AND SEAR THE OTHER SIDE.
- THEN: DOWN HEAT TO LOW.
- PLACE SLICED ONIONS ON TOP AND SIDES OF MEAT.
- SLOWLY POUR SOUP ON TOP OF MEAT.
- THEN ADD:CARROTS, CELERY, POTATOES [THE POTATOES MUST BE PEELED AND CUT IN HALF]ON THE TOP OF THE REST OF THE VEGGIES,AND LIGHTLY SPRINKLE WITH LAWRYS.
- I COOK MY BRISKET FOR AT LEAST 3 HOURS ON LOW.[BUT FOR REALLY SCRUMPTOUS MEAT I COOK IT ABOUT 6 TO 7 HOURS.]
- IT COMES OUT SOFT AS BUTTER
- OH YEAH. YOU CAN USE ANY FLAVOR WINE,RED OR WHITE,IN PLACE OF THE SOUP,AND IT COMES OUT JUST AS DELISH.
- HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY
