Ingredients

1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup almond paste or 2 1/2 shelled almonds (see instructions below)
3 egg whites
1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff. Mix thoroughly with almond paste and salt.
  2. Add sugar and beat thoroughly. Drop teaspoonfuls onto slightly oiled baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees (F) about 15 minutes.
  4. The almond paste may be made by pounding 2 1/2 cups shelled blanched almonds until a paste is formed.
