Replace chicken bouillion with vegetable or chicken flavored parve bouillion for a parve version.

Ingredients
1/2 cup lentils
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 cup rice, long grain
1/2 cup parsley, minced
3 cups water
Directions
- Place rinsed lentils in a saucepan and add water, bouillon, onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, covered.
- Add the rice, return to a quick boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until rice is done. Add water if necessary to make sure rice is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and mix in minced parsley and serve!
