Ingredients
5 cups whole wheat flour
2 or 2½ cups sugar
1 cup water
3 tablespoons cream of wheat
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup oil
Directions
- Mix sugar, water, salt and oil in a pot and cook until the mixture becomes somewhat dry.
- Add the mixture to the flour and knead, using as much water as necessary to form dough.
- Let the dough sit at room temperature for two to three hours. Roll into small round puris and deep fry in oil.
