Ingredients

1 whole cut-up chicken
1 onion, chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
6 plum tomatoes, chopped
1 pound okra (the smallest ones you can find)
Olive oil for frying
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil and saute onions over medium heat until lightly brown.
  2. Stir in tomatoes and continue cooking 5 minutes.
  3. Add chicken and okra, sprinkle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook over low heat for 90 minutes.
