Ingredients

2 Briskets
Kitchen Bouquet Browning/Seasoning Sauce
salt
pepper
garlic powder
1 1/2 cups catsup
1 grated onion
heaping teaspoon mustard (dry or prepared)
1/2 cup vinegar or lemon juice
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
celery seed (optional)

Directions

  1. Spread large sheet aluminum foil. Place meat on top and spray with Kitchen Bouquet. Sprinkle meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Combine remaining ingredients to make sauce and spread over meat. Sprinkle with celery seed if you like. Wrap in foil, sealing edges tightly.
  2. Place in a roasting pan. Roast at 325 degrees for 3 hours for thin briskets, and 4 hours for thicker cuts.
  3. Allow to cool and remove to cutting board. Slice thinly and return to sauce. Tastes better when allowed to marinate in the sauce. Freezes beautifully.
