Ingredients

Dough:
1 cup oil
3/4 cups cold water
1/4 tsp. salt
4 1/2 cups flour

Filling:
1 14 oz. can of salmon
1/4 cup cooked rice
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions

  1. Prepare the filling: Mix the salmon with the rice, egg, onion, parsley, salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare the dough: Mix together oil, water and salt. Gradually add flour until it forms a large ball.
  3. Take a small amount of dough and roll into a golf ball size, then gently flatten on a clean surface.
  4. Add small amount of salmon filling to the center and fold over the dough, pinching the edges to close.
  5. Press the edges with a fork to give it a nice textured border.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees (F) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
