Ingredients

1 - 4 lb. pullet
3 tbs. flour
2 tbs. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 tbs. chicken fat or margarine
1-1/2 cups sliced onion
1 tbs. paprika
1 cup boiling water

Directions

  1. Cut up chicken and season with flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Brown chicken in the fat (or margarine).
  3. Remove chicken and brown onions in remaining fat (or margarine).
  4. Return chicken to the pan, sprinkle with paprika and add water.
  5. Cover and cook over low heat for 1-1/2 hours or until chicken is tender.
