Apple Matzoh Kugel (Pareve)

Interesting kugel recipe uses horseradish to counteract sweetness. Works well as a side dish for Passover dinner.

Ingredients

4 matzohs
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cups honey
1/4 cups oil
2 tablespoons horseradish
1/2 cups chopped walnuts
2 apples, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Break matzohs in to pieces, soak in water and drain.
  2. Combine eggs, salt, honey, oil, cinnamon and horseradish and add to matzoh. Mix in nuts, apples and raisins.
  3. Place in greased 8 inch square baking dish and bake at 350 degrees (F) for 35 minutes.
