1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup pecans
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup pitted dates
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. nutmeg


  1. Combine and coarsely grind all the ingredients using a food processor or a mortar and pestle.
  2. Serve the haroset on a bed of romaine lettuce (the bitter herb).
