Party Size Noodle Kugel Dessert

This was a prize winning recipe so many years ago, passed down from my mom. It's purely dessert,extremely rich and decadent. I love home made strawberry topping on it. Others even put a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream over it. Beware that its calorie and cholesterol packed yet a once in a while outrageous dessert kugel

Ingredients

2 lb Creamed cottage cheese - Small curd
1/2 lb Farmers cheese
1/2 lb Cream cheese
1 pt Half and half
1 pt Sour cream
9 Eggs
1 c Sugar
1/2 Stick butter melted
1 ts Vanilla
12 oz Fine noodles ( no substitute )
Strawberry, cherry or other fruit topping:
may be canned or home made

Directions

  1. Beat eggs pale and light and set aside.
  2. Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Add farmers cheese and cottage cheese and blend well.
  4. Gradually add sugar and beaten eggs. Add vanilla, half and half and sour cream.
  5. Finally add and blend in butter.
  6. Smear some butter in 2, 9 x 13 pans.
  7. Layer on some cooked noodles with creamed mixture and layer and end with creamed mixture on top.
  8. Sprinkle on sugar and cinnamon liberally to taste.
  9. Place in slow oven and bake
  10. 325 for 1 1/2 hours or until set
  11. Cool to warm and cut pieces to serve.
  12. Serve with frozen thawed sweetened strawberries in syrup and a dollop of whipped cream or with a sour cherry sauce or even top with ice cream
  13. This even tastes great when chilled and reheated and may be frozen and then gently reheated
  14. Note: I have baked this in one very large oblong casserole baking dish for parties
