Baked Beef Brisket

Ingredients
4 lb boneless beef brisket, flat cut
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
3 large onions, sliced thick
1 cup hot water
2 tbl. corn starch
1 cup cold water
Directions
- Put the onions and brisket fat side up in an open roasting pan.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic over brisket bake at 350 degrees (F) for 1 hour or until the onions turn light brown
- Add hot water and cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees and continue cooking 2 hours
- Remove brisket and onions to warm platter
- To make gravy: Combine corn starch with cold water and stir into cooking liquid until gravy thickens.
