This Yemenite coffee is called Qishr and is prepared similar to Turkish coffee.

Ingredients
1 cup cold water
6 teaspoons powdered coffee (not instant )
6 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground ginger
Directions
- Place water in a long handled Arabic coffee pot, (substitute a small
- saucepan if you don’t have one) and ingredients.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat until
- the bubbles disappear then return to boiling.
- Repeat 3 times. Serve in demitasse cups (about 2-3 ounces).
