
Flourless Chocolate Cake

Great dessert for any time of year, but also perfect for Passover.

Ingredients
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
8 oz butter (margarine if you want to make it parve)
8 oz sugar
4 eggs separated
Whipped topping
Directions
- Grease 9 inch cake pan or spring form put parchment paper greased on bottom
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In double boiler melt chocolate and butter/margarine remove from heat
- Beat egg yolks with 4 oz of sugar
- Gradually add egg yolk mixture to chocolate mixture
- Beat egg whites while gradually adding remaining sugar, beat until peaks form
- Gently fold chocolate mixture into egg whites
- Put mixture into prepared pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. This cake will fall.
- Using a knife separate cake from paper. Serve warm or cold with whipped topping.
